This is a Kohler Commercial Engine with twin cam and has much more lowend torque. It has none of the plastic timing gear or other plastic drive parts that kill all those Kawasaki Engines. If you have owned one of these Kawasaki engined mowers you know exactly what I am talking about if not call a shop that only repairs mowers and does not sell new ones and they will tell you the very same thing. They love to see the Kawasakis in for repair because they already know whats wrong with them. I did a lot of research before buying. A buddy and I had actually started a lawn and landscape business and bought this mower for that reason but didnt use it and ended up deciding to specialize in strictly landscape so dont need it now.
